This is little Julian. What an adorable little boy. Last week Hank and I traveled to Nags Head, North Carolina. According to the locals, it's OBX. Which, btw, took me forever to figure out what it meant :) While there, we got to relax for a few days but also shot a few family portraits with Julian and his family, who are also Hank's cousins and aunt and uncle. That makes Julian Hank's second cousin?
I can't wait to share the rest of this take. I'll post a full post very soon but in the mean time, look at these bright eyes :)

This is the slideshow that I created from Amy and John's beautiful wedding in Boca Grande, Florida. Amy and John's wedding was so personal and sweet. I just love putting these slideshows together so family members and friends who couldn't attend can relive the day. Please click on this link to view the slideshow.
I have several family shoots I'm going to share soon. I also have some beautiful albums and products that I'm excited to share. Thanks for your love and support for Studio Blu Images. It means the world to Hank and I!
I just wanted to throw up a quick posting to share Kelly and Neil's slideshow. I am in the Outer Banks, North Carolina preparing for a couple of family shoots today. Hope everybody has a lovely day!

I hope you think the second half of Kelly and Neil's wedding is as special as the first half that I shared earlier this week. I love every image I made that evening!
The reception took place at the Robert Trent Jones at Capitol Hill Clubhouse in Prattville, Alabama. I can't tell you how gorgeous this golf course and club are. I was totally blown away by the beauty.
The bridal party was cracking me up. Kelly and Neil have great friends!
Another client recently asked me about black and white images. I always shoot all of my images in color and then I convert certain images I like to black and white. I always choose images that I feel look very classic and timeless. I converted all of these reception images to black and white because they looked so good! Kelly and Neil will also receive color copies of these images :)

I have so many photos of Michelle, one of Kelly's bridesmaids, laughing. She was so much fun to be around that day.
I love this moment of Neil dancing with his grandmother.
I love this moment during the garter toss. I have no idea what they were laughing about but it was cute :)
To Kelly and Neil, thank you for everything. From involving us in your special day to inviting us to all of the family events. We love your family and had such a blast! See you in Birmingham :)
Everything about Kelly and Neil's wedding was just spectacular. From the bridesmaids dresses, to the fine details that Kelly and her mother picked out, everything was exquisite and beautiful.
Everybody involved in Kelly and Neil's wedding were having a ball and it shows. Hank and I just adore Kelly and Neil and their family and friends. We were so grateful to be involved in their big day.
Kelly and Neil's wedding was a longer day for me but it was also better in that way. When brides hire me for longer days they are guaranteed more images plus a chance for me to get to know their family and friends better. Which, while this may seem simple, I learn much more about everybody which in turn means I make better images!
I love this image. It's just so funny and cute.
Kelly and Neil opted for a first look. I just absolutely love it when couples choose this. This enables us to do all of the portraits before the ceremony and Kelly and Neil were able to arrive to their reception much earlier.

Clayton was tripping me out during the ceremony. The candles hadn't been there during the rehearsal so Clayton clearly had just discovered them.

This is just a little teaser from Kelly and Neil's wedding in Prattville, Alabama. I'll share more soon!

Paige and Greg's peacock themed wedding was featured on the Every Last Detail Blog yesterday. It excites me so to share stuff with Lauren because I know her blog is so well regarded. Check out her blog and leave her some love!
I just finished up with another beautiful wedding so I'll be posting more images soon. Check back!
One of the things I didn't mention in my last post was how hot it was the morning of Amy and John's wedding in Boca Grande, Florida. I am so glad nobody was photographing me because I was disgustingly sweaty. It was actually pretty funny.
Regardless of the heat, Amy and John were troopers and we made the best of it by shooting some really awesome portraits of the two of them. We then headed over to their reception where they were surrounded by friends and family while enjoying a great brunch. Everything looked savory and yummy! The Sarasota Catering Company did an outstanding job.
Please view the first half of Amy and John's wedding, which I blogged last week.
Hank came through again with this photo. I get so excited when he shoots images for me! You can see the top of my head at the bottom of the frame.
This was my view.
I just finished Amy and John's slideshow so I'll share it soon!
Amy and John's wedding was super sweet. They took what was a very hot day and had the best time. I have to give Amy much credit for planning the wedding from Kansas City, Missouri. Planning destination weddings can be so much work. You can tell by the images that Amy and John certainly put a lot of heart into the details of their day.
I have listed all of Amy's vendors at the bottom of this post :)
To Amy and John and all of your wonderful friends and family. Thank you so much for letting Hank and I be a part of your special day!

I just wanted to share this image of Amy before I board a plane to my next wedding. I absolutely love the feel of this image. It's so classic looking :)
I'll share more soon. In the meantime I'm off to a wedding in Prattville, Alabama. Yay!
